Netflix and Amazon crash after 30 mins

When watching Netflix it stops working after about 30 mins and a message says content not available try later but nothing then works and the box has to be rebooted to get Netflix back. I have also had this with Amazon so it is not a Netflix issue but must be a Virgin problem

Any suggestions?

Hey RickSareen and welcome to the community,

 

Sorry to hear that you're having issues watching Amazon and Netflix. How is your box connected to your hub, is it by WiFi or an ethernet cable?

 

Does this happen at any particular time of the day? Do you lose any other service when this happens?

Connected by cable. 

 

It happens at any time usually after watching for about 30 mins. Nothing else is affected and a reboot of the box cures the issue.

I have a V6 and also the previous gen. one. 

It happens on both boxes.

I have booked the first engineer appointment we have available
You can check and reschedule this appointment through your online account if you need to
You can also cancel it if the fault has gone
