N27 error but cable is plugged in

Hi. I’m getting the n27 error saying that an Ethernet cable isn’t plugged in. Have never had to use an Ethernet cable until recently but Have bought a new cable and tried it in all the Ports on the hub. Still not working - can only get BBC1! I’ve had this issue since December but really would like to be able to access the TV now.

please can someone help? Thanks

Re: N27 error but cable is plugged in

This is an issue with the internal modem rather than a problem with an ethernet cable to your hub.

It means that the box has lost connection to VM's network.

You'll need to report it as a fault but be prepared to wait due to high demand and reduced capacity of VM's call centre's.

Should have called it in in December.

Absolutely. The https://www.virginmedia.com/help/virgin-tv-error-codes webpage covers this, and many other common codes.

It's a timely reminder that, although it doesn't help the OP, service faults that are left unreported have a nasty habit of going unresolved too.
