My Virgin TiVo v6 recordings keep crashing

Hi,

 

trying to watch last nights ufc and both recordings keep crashing shortly after starting

 

tried another programme, same issue half way through.

 

how do I get this fixed?

Are you able to watch the channels you've recorded from, live now?

If you record any new programmes now (from any channel), can you watch those ok?

It's unlikely you'll be able to watch those existing recordings, but we can at least ID what's causing it.

Hi,

my recordings have stopped working on bt and channel 4.

 

watching sky now and the box just restarted it self for no reason.

 

only had Virgin for 3 weeks so the box should be new.

 

few times channels are crashing also

Sounds to me like your box either has a fault, or is possibly trying to manage a signal fault.

In either case, I'd suggest calling VM to report it. 150 from a VM phone, or 0345 4541111 otherwise.

Well the call centre isn’t the greatest, she said she would call me back at 10am, it’s now two days later and hasn’t got back to me..

it’s clearly obvious I need a new box but they want me to wait for an engineer,. It’s now a week since my box was working, I’ve only had my box for three weeks so really need some compensation for a more than useless service

Sounds like another example of C/S agents not being sure how to resolve a call, so kicking the can down the road with promises of callbacks that will never happen.

I would agree that your box needs replacing and that VM C/S should have already arranged this.. I've flagged this thread to VM forum staff for you which may also mean they pick it up quicker.

Please don't give up on calling through to get this resolved in the meantime.
