It seems this smartcard is invalid ref 3014

My tv box says it seems this smartcard is invalid. Tv box is included in the rent but never used it before as didn't have a tv.

Virgin no longer use smart cards. The boxes now check subscription status directly from the servers. If boxes are not used for more than a month they also automatically deactivate.

What box is it?

TiVO, V6 or one of the older V/V+ boxes.

Virgin BB TV Landline. Freeview/Freesat HD, Virgin Mobile, Tesco Mobile. Cable customer since 1993

It gets replaced with a TiVo as the V+ has been discontinued. Call VM for this free swap.
