If I reset my tivo box (via the onscreen app) will I lose all my recordings?
Reason being that the performance of my Tivo box is becoming abysmally slow,
It is also often shutting down and restarting itself several times daily
there are different reset options in the menus. they will warn you beforehand of what you will lose.

If you reset your box you will get a message alerting you that you will lose it all.
Do you have the tivo500 or new V6 tv box.
If you are still on the tivo500 older box it maybe worth renegotiating your contract for a new deal and setting up a deal to upgrade your equipment at the same time.

It's a tivo, about 14months old, but it's running like an8086 with msdos and 640kbwhen it should be like an i7 with 64gb.
It's normal for tivos to be as slow as an an8086 they are terrible
