I ran a Network Diagnostic and Port Configuration Test Failed And listed a number of Ports that need to be open - How do I do This?

The Port & Config test on TiVo's is notoriously unreliable, it often fails on perfectly working boxes (mine included)
Not to mention TiVo's don't use your home broadband but have their own inbuilt connection.

I only want to do this as I have been talking to 150 for what seems like years, I have had a very helpful guy from Virgin call round and successfully fix my buffering problem but I didn't think to check with him about the configuration problem.
When I run a network diagnostic test the report says that the test failed and lists a number of ports that need to be open, why,I don't know, but this is a problem it wants me to fix!
Give me a break - I have no idea how to do this!h

Do you have a problem with your Virgin TV service? If so - explain what it is and you may not need to call 150.
You may be trying to solve a non-existent problem - the port configuration test never worked on my TiVo and doesn't work on my V6.

Hi Keith,
There is nothing to fix, as per the reply from japitts.
It's an erroneous/inaccurate message that appears on Tivo and V6 boxes and can be safely ignored.
