Help!

What am I supposed to do?  Trying to set up my new Tivo box but it will not connect to the internet; I've tried different ways and connectors, even WiFi. The data light flashes at the hub but nothing at the box. Gone through the instructions on the website time and again. Spent hours trying to fix it, hours on the phone waiting for someone to answer. Should I give up and get my life back?

Are you using a TiVo or a V6? Can you check here if you're not sure.

Thanks for your interest japitts.  I thought the box was a "Tivo V6"!  Its a V6.

Two developments:

1.  The V6 is working.

2.  I received a text from Virgin informing me that my "Virgin Media is now activated" and I could now "follow the instructions ... to install".

So I imagine that the hours wasted were because I was trying to connect to a non existent account.  Box arrives Saturday, account activated Monday - not a good plan.
