Hdmi lead

Is it possible to connect your Tivo box without using the HDMI cable? Is there an adapter or something I can use?

Re: Hdmi lead

I guess it depends on what you are actually trying to do. Are you simply wanting to connect your TV to your TiVo without a cable?

..or what?

Re: Hdmi lead

Yes I literally just want to be able to watch my Virgin tv without having the HDMI cable showing. My tv is on the wall so looks sightly

Re: Hdmi lead

Well you’re snookered.

You’ll need to imbed the cable in the wall to make it un-unsightly.

Re: Hdmi lead

Would something like an 'L' shaped HDMI cable / adaptor be the answer?

What are the circumstances?  Is it because the HDMI cable comes out the side of your TV while it hangs on the wall or straight out the back?  There are boxes that will give you HDMI to Composite (and then on to SCART).

Re: Hdmi lead

I've used the right-angle adapters linked above. They work well.

Surely they will still be visible though?

Re: Hdmi lead

Depends where the socket is. You didn't specify.

If you mean the cable itself there is nothing you can do. The TV will still need a power cable.
