HDMI SPLITTER NOT WORKING WITH ON DEMAND

I have recently purchased a powered HDMI splitter so I can watch Virgin TV in two rooms. One of the HDMI leads is connected to an extender utilising Cat 6 cable to run between the sender and receiver.

Everything initially worked fine. Now suddenly I find I can still watch TV in both rooms, but On Demand services do not work. Sky movies cannot get past the advert stage. I am currently resetting the box, but I guess that will not solve the issue.
Any ideas?

Re: HDMI SPLITTER NOT WORKING WITH ON DEMAND

Hello

One thing to check does the HDMI splitter support HDCP 2.2 if it doesn't that is where your problem is, as the On Demand needs this version of copy protection to be able to view on a TV.

Re: HDMI SPLITTER NOT WORKING WITH ON DEMAND

Thank you for your advice.

It could be the issue, but strange that it worked fine for a while and then suddenly it didn’t.

I have ordered new units that support the latest protocol and arranged a return of my equipment to Amazon.

Thanks

Gary
