HD Tivo, vertical mounting?

Can anyone tell me if its OK to use a Tivo HD (curved front) with it stood on its end? I have just installed a new TV in the dining room and the wife does not want the Tivo box under  the TV on the sideboard but I could stand it vertically by the TV. She says the footprint is to big for her collection of porcelain figures.

Hi I'm guessing that so long as air holes are not blocked, which will cause overheating, there is no reason why it won't work. Regards Micky

Re: HD Tivo, vertical mounting?

Thanks, thats what I figured, but was wondering if there was any precedence already of these being used in this fashion. It is currently working ok like this. I might source some sticky rubber feet to stick on the end to reduce the risk of any shocks being transmitted to the hard drive when accessing the sideboard on which it is sitting.
