Green screen

For the 3rd time my tivo box had the green screen saying serious problem and that it would work to repair it but it could take up to 3 hours. It has been 2 days and the problem still isn't fixed. At this lament I have a black screen with an arrow pointing into a box. Does anyone know how to resolve the problem please? I've also turned the box off each night at the mains power to see if it helps but it doesn't. Thanks

You probably won't want to hear this, but...

The green screen "DVR has detected an error" means your hard drive has failed, and the box will need replacing. Any other action is just delaying the inevitable.

I'd recommend calling VM to report the fault and arrange your new box. 150 from a VM phone or 0345 4541111 from any other phone.
