Our TiVo box in the bedroom is horrendous we’ve had it ages prob around 8 years?? It’s slow, freezes when you ask it to do anything remotely challenging such as on demand I do however dread sitting on the phone for ages to see if there is any chance of a replacement. Has anyone had any experience of this being something relatively straight forward to get?! Any tips as to what dept to get through to?
You're doing the right thing in trying to report this to TV faults, and absolutely you should be able to get any faulty box replaced.
Another thought though - I'm assuming you have VM broadband and you've had your current package for a little while. It may be worth considering going down the regrade route, of looking at a new TV bundle (that may potentially be cheaper) assuming you're happy to recontract for 12/18months, and try to negotiate a box-swap to the newer V6 into the bargain.
