Decided to watch something in the bedroom to be met with the 7400 error code.
I have run the online checks, reset the box, re connected, checked service status online etc etc but to no avail.
The online check gave us this
Your TV box is online
Your TV box is online but may not be working fully
The main V6 box is fine, just the spare box, any ideas as the call centres are shut (despite saying they are open until 9pm)

Have you made any changes to your account before this happened? Presumably this box has worked before?
As per https://www.virginmedia.com/help/virgin-tv-error-codes/7400 this is an activation error and isn't something that should normally occur "randomly"
It's normally resolved by calling into 0800 9539500 if the online methods fail.

No changes or issues with the account.
But weirdly, it has resolved itself this morning, which is pleasing but strange as like you said it is normally a code that occurs when changes made and activation issues.
