My mother has a TiVo box. Every time she turns it on she gets an error 7400 and is prompted to ring 150 to get a signal sent to her box to clear the error
This happens every time. Any ideas why as she has stopped using it now due to frustration
Is she switching the box off at the mains often? If so, it will eventually lose its network connection and need to be re-registered - hence the 7400 error. TiVo boxes are designed to be left online 24/7
Has you or your mother called 150 as prompted?
Thanks for your reply. It is left in at the mains all the time though mostly in standby.
Ive called 150 several times and it always clears once I do that but it just seems odd I have to do that every time
Tried restart etc
You think it may be an issue that means it needs re-registering?
If you're leaving the box in standby and it's repeatedly needing re-registering, that's a cause for concern.
