Engineer visit

Trying to organise an engineer visit to re route tv cables after some renovation work.  After calling (on hold for an hour), online bot (on hold for 2 hours), tweeting, I did manage to get hold of someone who told me that due to Covid restrictions no one could attend.  BUT I am sure if I was a new customer a visit would be organised. Engineer does not even need to come inside!!! Can anyone advise???

Re: Engineer visit

You've been correctly advised this can't currently be arranged. VM's current published policy is at https://www.virginmedia.com/help/coronavirus-update under "keeping our customers safe".

In practical terms...

- New installs are limited to one room/one box only, additional equipment installs are on-hold.

- Home visits for existing customers are limited to fault-fixes only, non-fault issues such as yours are on-hold.

Also be aware - once the restrictions/policy changes, non-fault visits are charged at £99.
