I also find the TiVo boxes slow and clunky because of only having a spinning hard disk, so I use an Apple TV instead (I previously used a Chromecast with Google TV), though I’m not sure if it’s just because I’m on a cheaper box and newer ones are much faster or something.

Tivo boxes are indeed very old, slow & clunky by modern standards, and streaming apps were never their strong point.
The newer V6 runs the same software but with more recording tuners on a far more capable and quicker box.
Alternatively the TV360 runs on the same physical box but with different software - think of Apple being different to Android.
TiVo vs TV360 is a frequently discussed topic on this forum with very polar opinions - there are many pros & cons both ways. You've mentioned Disney+ and this is available on TV360. Apart from that & Paramount, the popular apps are available on both software platforms.
