Re: DVR has detected serious problem

You need to call Virgin TV Faults and report your box has failed. 150 from a Virgin phone, or 0345 4541111 from any other phone.

Patience & persistence may be needed when calling on weekends especially, but you need a replacement box.

Re: DVR has detected serious problem

Hi known as the green screen of death, phone go down the TV faults route they will send you a replacement one, or if you don't want to install yourself you can ask for an engineer install. Regards Micky

Re: DVR has detected serious problem

Calling the fault number and the TV option leads to only sending a text message with a link for faults page. I started a chat and were connected to a agent, but it was transferred to a technical team.

The below is the automated message after transfer -

I’ve just transferred your query to the people who can help you. Due to social distancing there’s less of us in the office so it may take up to 24hrs to get back to you.
We will respond to you.
To help us help our most vulnerable customers, please only phone us if your query is urgent.
Reply ‘yes’ now to continue the transfer.

Re: DVR has detected serious problem

When the IVR offers you the option of pressing 1 for a link to the help page, ignore it. Wait on the line without pressing any buttons and you should be put in the queue for a faults agent.

Re: DVR has detected serious problem

Thanks for your reply.

I have received the box and started the set up procedure. I `m in the screen where it says "Okay, nearly finished" and asked to click Ok. But the box is not recognizing my remote(old one). I didn't get a new remote with the box. How I can proceed further with the installation.

Thanks.

Re: DVR has detected serious problem

Hi dfelix19,

It sounds like you need to unpair the remote from the old TIVO.

Make sure you have new batteries in the remote.

Press the Clear and TV buttons together. Wait until the green light from the remote flashes twice.

Press thumbs down 3 times and then press OK.

You should now be able to set up the remote again
