Channel 5 Catch up

I’m unable to watch Channel 5 on Catch up! I get a message that the Service is Temporarily Unavailable!

How long do Virgin Media consider to be “Temporarily”?

Is this specifically C5 programmes, or is it any OnDemand programmes? Unless they're using a specific app, all broadcasters use the same OnDemand platform on VM, so if one fails it follows that all should fail.

Is there an error code/number alongside that message? There should be.

Yes, there’s an error code 603 and I’ve just realised that I get the same message when trying Channel 4. BBC and ITV/STV work through their iPlayer or equivalent.

Are you watching on a 4K UHD TV? If so, this could well be an HDCP issue.

I'd suggest following the advice on https://www.virginmedia.com/help/virgin-tv-error-codes/603 - you may also need to restart your box after changing the output settings.

If this doesn't resolve, can you post the make & model of your TV and any other connected A/V kit, HDMI splitters etc.
