other channels OK
have reset the box
is this a meta data problem?
should I ask for the latest box

Welcome to our Community Forum. Thank you for your post, and I'm sorry to understand that you're having some issues with your Series Link on Channel 4.
Can you tell us if there is an error message or error code that you are seeing on the screen at all?
If you try to amend the start and finish time of your series link recording, does that help resolve the issue?

Almost certainly, but without an example, it's impossible to advise further.
Having a different box won't make the slightest difference to data errors.
