Have noticed this before but not commented, but sometimes VM starts listing a series as part of the catch up service, and then seems to lose track of what should be available.
eg at the moment Downton Abbey is being reshown ITV3 and episodes added after being broadcast.
Bus lasst week, whoever is responsible for making this happen added S3 E3 and the next day lept to S4 E4 and since then kept adding episodes from series 4 when it should be from series 3.
Not sure how whether this is human error or some automated system that has gone wrong.
So not only is this really irriatating but it means the Catch Up option now available to go straight to next episode is a nonsense.
As I am only re-watching DA out of interest I am not to bothered, but if it was something I had never seen before would be quite upset.
The catch up service is good as it stops the need to record endless episodes, but becomes frustrating when something as based as this isn't don probably. it actually undermines what service should offer!

I suspect what you're seeing, is perhaps indicative of some missing assets that will need some cross-referencing with ITV3's schedule to be sure about.

Actually you should be looking at this the other way around - recording is nearly always going to be preferable than relying on VoD, but OnDemand/CatchUp is a useful insurance. I would always recommend recording any programmes you might want to watch.

Sorry - but I think you are missing the point.
Catch up is one of the services included in my package. I expect it to work.
If whoever is in charge of updating what is available on catch up cant work out which number of a series is being shown it is not very professional.
I dont know what you mean about assests but the point I was making is matched by ITV hub.
The problem is either the person or the program that lists / makes available programmes via catch up.
And as i also explained, it could well be that for some reason, someone wants to catch up on a series they see is listed on catch and yet they cant rely on episodes being presented in the correct order.
ie episodes in series 3 come before episodes in series 4!!!!!

Not sure what you think was missing the point, but you are quite entitled to expect a working OnDemand service - i.e. the ability to view programmes that are available via VoD.
Availability of box-set programmes, equally you can reasonably expect all episodes to be available. The CatchUp facility for repeats of previous series, there is scope for availability to not be 100% - not a problem you would have should you record any programme you might want to watch.
Is there any particular episode/programme that you think should be available via OnDemand, and isn't? The "C" catch-up symbol on the backwards EPG is the most reliable indicator that a programme should be loaded to OD.
