Re: Can’t receive chanel 601 for over a week, just get error w02

Hi Andmat,

Error W02 means there's a problem getting a signal on this channel and the official advice is to check all your connections are finger tight.

There are 5 other channels on the same frequency so you probably have issues with them as well.

SkyFi HD, Comedy Central HD,  Alibi HD, TCM HD and 4 Seven HD.

Please try the following:-

  • Press Home on the remote.
  • Select Help & Settings.
  • Select Help.
  • Select TV Care from the top bar.
  • Select Missing channels.
  • Select Refresh my channel list to check for missing channels, and to get your TV box automatically updated if they are missing.

If that doesn't work then you will need to speak to TV Faults.Call 150 from your Virgin Media phone or mobile, or call 0345 454 1111  from any other phone.

The best time to call is first thing on a morning, around 8am as then when it's less busy

Tried the ‘ scan for missing channels’  last week when the problem was first discovered and it failed, I also gave it another go this morning with the same result, getting customer support does waste a lot of time and often comes with little result.

Ok, well check the channels that @newapollo has already mentioned (package dependent), if those are also affected that would prove an issue with that particular broadcast frequency.

You'll need to report the fault to Virgin regardless, and calling them - as frustrating as it can be - will be the quickest way of doing that. The team pick up posts on here, but that can take a couple more days.

Until VM know about your issue, it's not likely to resolve itself - unless it's affecting other customers and they report it.
