You've posted in the TiVo board so I'll presume you do have a TiVo and not a V6. Check here if you want to make sure.
A TiVo isn't the quickest with any streaming apps, but many issues are caused by the inbuilt net connection failing without you realising.
Do you see any flashing lights on the front-left of your TiVo when you have streaming problems? The middle light with a heartbeat symbol is the one to check- if it flashes, the inbuilt net connection is failing which is a fault.
