The above links don't give too much away.  Anti virus didn't like Flash, which now comes through WU.🙄

Took just over 20 minutes* to install to HDD

Re: Windows10 version1909 November update

Just got two now:  Pro users get these updates before Home versions of the beloved Microsoft software product that is Windows 10.

https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/help/4534132/kb4534132-cumulative-update-for-net-framework

and

https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/help/4532695/windows-10-update-kb4532695

The above update will be slow on older hardware.  HDD here. They update separately and files are removed.   Looks like they messed up and fixed stuff.😐

Re: Windows10 version1909 November update

KB4528760 gave my HP machine a boot failure when I installed it a few weeks back, and it took a few hours forcing use of the recovery console to roll back to a restore point.

Not the first time a Win10 update has caused this, so I'm now very reluctant to install them until they've been out for a couple of weeks and there's no reports....

Re: Windows10 version1909 November update

No problems here, but ladies who I converse with have had File Explorer broken (the search boxes don't work).  Some updates corrupt system files as Brian says in his videos on the tubes

A quick and dirty fix (cuts out the faffing about with stuff that doesn't work) for this:

  1. Right click on the taskbar.
  2. Task Manager.
  3. File.
  4. Run new task (tick the box for administrator privileges).
  5. Type cmd in the box.  This will bring up the Command Prompt window.
  6. Type sfc /scannow in the Command Prompt window.
  7. Let this run for a bit and complete.
  8. Type dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth.
  9. Reboot the computer when this has finished.
  10. Good Luck.  It's Windows (anything can happen).

You may lose some stuff, but other things should be intact. This should fix other stuff as well.  However, it didn't work for me with the 1803 update as detailled elsewhere on here.😬

* This installs twice, and is a pain on old hardware.  Took 30 mins on my desktop and 1¾ hours on my sister's laptop. She was going to switch it off mid update. Last time this happened I had to burn a DVD and reinstall Windows.😬
