Wi-Fi 6 Upgrade for laptops

It should only be used in Laptops with an M.2 connector and a standard Key A or E socket. It WILL NOT work in the M.2 slot in a Desktop.

Re: WiFi 6 is upon us, well almost.

Hi All

I am not very tech savvy but I know my new laptop has wifi 6 capability (if that is the right way of putting it 🤔). Should I be asking VM for a new modem and am I likely to get one?

Why shouldn't I ask VM for a router capable of wi-fi 6?

Because they don't have one yet. Both the Hub 3 and Hub 4 are WiFi 5.

If you want a WiFi 6 router you'll need to buy your own and use modem mode on your Hub.

Re: WiFi 6 is upon us, well almost.

BenMcr - thanks. Any idea when VM might have a hub capable of wi-fi 6? Also is wi-fi 6 likely to make any discernible difference to my system?
