Web site not opening

Hey guys, wonder if anyone could give us a hand. My wife works from home and opens up the same web site every day on our wifi network and every day it works fine. Today it is not opening at all, on any device in the home on wifi. Every other web site we go onto works fine and what makes it a little more strange is that the second we go onto mobile data it opens and works fine.

Please help if there is any.

Thanks in advance

Warren

Can you post a traceroute of the failing website, from the failing device?

Do you get an error message? If so what is it?

Hey there. Cant say I would know how to do that to be honest.

No error message at all. Page or linked pages to the website wont even start opening

What is the address of the website ?
Perhaps the issue is the same for all VM customers - we saw that yesterday where a commercial website had been blocked in error.

If you using a  Windows PC you can use the "Snipping Tool" to take a screen shot  ...
then switch back to this forum and Paste ( Ctrl V ) the image in under your test.

You will get an image inserted like this ...

In Windows open a Command Shell (press Windows key + R, type cmd and then press Enter key), otherwise open a Terminal, and enter the following command but replacing example.com with the site URL causing issue:

curl -I example.com

Post the resulting output here; make sure to redact anything you do not wish to post in public?

This issue might be caused by a number of reasons:

Internet Connection: The issue could be with your home Wi-Fi network, as other websites are working fine. Try resetting your router or modem to see if it fixes the issue.

DNS Resolution: The website could be down or the domain name server (DNS) could be having issues resolving the domain name to an IP address. Try using a public DNS server like Google's (8.8.8.8) to see if it fixes the issue.

Firewall or Antivirus: Your firewall or antivirus software might be blocking the website. Temporarily disabling these could help you determine if that is the issue.

A host's file could be blocking it, or your IP or the URL has been put on a blacklist.
