What exactly is the link between virgin and O2? My mobile is with O2 and the reception in my house is dreadful. Is there any way to improve this ?

Virgin Media & O2 are in the process of merging their UK businesses into a joint-venture.

On the mobile side, this means that VM's previous arrangements for piggybacking onto EE & Vodafone's networks are now finished - and all Virgin Mobile customers will be moved across to O2.

If O2 coverage in your home isn't sufficient, you may want to look at mitigating this by WiFi-calling or another solution - but ultimately, Virgin Media can only now sell you an O2 connection.

Liberty Global plc (Liberty Global) and Telefónica, SA (Telefónica) created a 50:50 joint venture on 1 June 2021 with VMED O2 UK Limited managing the business. This company wholly owns Virgin Media Inc. and its subsidiaries (collectively, Virgin Media) and (ii) O2 Holdings Limited and its subsidiaries (collectively, O2).

Virgin Mobile has an MVNO agreement with Vodafone to replace EE from January 2022, but as this agreement will be cancelled Virgin Mobile customers are being migrated onto O2's network. If you're on O2 you report problems to them.
