Useless inept service.

Been without internet for a third day after it went down .

Trying to get anywhere with customer service is hopeless. I finally got though to them and they said they would come today, waited half the day off work and then they told me they are coming tomorrow, that’s a full day lost off of work and now another half day tomorrow. Diabolical service, lost revenue and still no internet.

I’ll be leaving this company...I’m fuming!

Re: Useless inept service.

I bet you don't. You'll post several times threatening to leave, threatening to go to ofcom, threatening to take it to court but I think you won't do anything about it.

Re: Useless inept service.

you need to give 30 days notice to cancel. this can be done by phone or post. if your are still in contract you'll be charged a early disconnection fee that is capped at a max of £240

And given the handle you use in this forum and the fact you are still a customer, I can see why you would think that. Unless the issue is fixed really quickly going forward and efforts are made to try and right the wrong of a customer taking a day off work to wait in for a tech that never shows (starting with an apology), I dont see why Lee wouldn't want to leave. Good luck getting a resolution with VM Lee - you need to put your energy into convesing with them though.

Re: Useless inept service.

First things first, you’re getting beyond yourself, I never made any mention of OFCOM. Secondly this is my second post and as you can see I’m not mentioning court ( why would I??) because that’s just a little overkill don’t you think.

As it happens I’ve managed to get the issue resolved and to a standard I am happy with .

Thirdly making guesses and assumptions based on no knowledge of my character and my personal being and then posting them on here seems like a waste of my time and yours ..

Re: Useless inept service.

Thanks Kiwi, you’re right and much appreciate the supportive post .

I posted on here out of desperation as I wasn’t getting anywhere with the customer service . As it happened I did get a call shortly afterwards (not sure if related to this post) and efforts were made to rectify my situation.

All the best buddy

Re: Useless inept service.

I am suffering the same problem at the moment. All I would like to do is speak to a human being. Booked an engineer to come out tomorrow and then promptly received a text message stating that they were trying to resolve the problem and had put my appointment on hold. Have no idea if anyone will be turning up tomorrow. Unable to take the day off  of work to wait in so have someone else waiting for me. I cannot stand companies that cannot just have a person on the other end of the phone. If I cancel my DD an move (contract is still running) are they going to get all snippy about it and still try to charge me for remaining contract?

You'd be best off starting your own topic for your own problem. The VM forum staff rarely respond/post in 'Tech Chatter'. The other specialist forums would be better depending on what exactly your fault is to do with.

VM regularly cancel technician visits if they identify a wider issue causing a fault and they generally won't send a technician until the wider fault is cleared. They are often very poor at notifying customers of the cancellation.

In answer to your question about cancelling your direct debit, that would be ill-advised. There are numerous posts on the forums about the problems that has caused for people. VM will will pass the debt to debt collectors with potential future problems for your credit rating/history.
