TV Cablea

Hey!

I've recently moved into a new place, but the TV socket is on the wrong side of the room. I don't want to move the socket, it's rented and that'd be way too much faff. So my question is, with the V6 box that has the funky split cables... Can u get cable extensions so I can put the TV where I want it!?

TIA x

Re: TV Cablea

you would need to get VM to do the install. You can't modify the coax cable yourself

Re: TV Cablea

You can try a long HDMI cable.

Re: TV Cablea

If you are renting the best action is a longer HDMI cable, VM could provide you with a longer coax cable, but it would cost you £99.

Which will change your signal balance, requiring access to the street cabinet to correct. For this reason a Virgin installer will make up the correct length cable on site. I would also not advise changing anything yourself. The coax Virgin use is specially produced to prevent interference entering the network.

Re: TV Cablea

Yeah, fair enough. It looks as though a lengthy HDMI is my best and cheapest option!

Thanks all 👌
