Replacing HUB3 with another router

Hi, has anyone replaced their HUB 3 with an after market router, if so how easy was it and what were the benefits over the HUB 3?

Cheers

Re: Replacing HUB3 with another router

a lot have.
simply put the hub into modem mode, and then connect whatever router you choose to use (providing it supports DHCP via WAN ethernet port).

Re: Replacing HUB3 with another router

You cannot totally replace the VM hubs. What you can do is purchase your own router and then run the VM hub in ‘modem mode’. There are a vast range of retail and business routers available and much depends on who much you wish to spend and what are the requirements for the router.
