Red Light on Hub 3

Hi all

I just put my Hub 3 into modem mode as I have just attached a Netgear Orbi system to it to boost WiFi.

I logged into the Hub 3, and as soon as I enabled modem mode the power light went red. I’ve read here that the power light is supposed to be magenta when in modem mode and that a red light means the Hub is overheating and should be turned off immediately. 
The whole system seems to be working well, should I worry that the light is Red rather than Magenta and is it dangerous as Virgin suggests?

It seems like a weird coincidence that the light only went red the moment I went to modem mode if in fact it means the unit is overheating.

Magenta and red can be difficult to distinguish in small LEDs.

Does your Hub feel very hot when you touch it? Is it well ventilated, ie in an open uncluttered space?

If it doesn't feel hot then it is likely to be the modem mode indicator.

My first hub was definitely red when in modem mode.

My second hub is more magenta.

it doesn't feel hot at all.

It's 90% Red but with a slight hint of pink??

Hopefully its all ok
