Old Phone Socket

We no longer have a landline as part of our package and just have broadband through the Hub.

We as looking to decorate the hall where there is a bulky phone socket. Looking inside there are only 3 small wires and that wire goes outside to meet the brown Nymex box on the external wall.
Would it cause a problem to the broadband which I can see has a separate wire out of the back of the Nymex box  into the lounge where the Hub is?

I was planning to remove the box, tape up the ends of the wires with insulation tape, cover and filler over the small hole.

Re: Old Phone Socket

Should be ok to remove the phone wire as they are no longer used and will not affect your broadband at all.
