Malware "threat" emails from you on false positive

I am getting sick to death of waiting for hours on the phone (literally... 1hr 30 so far after being hung up on once..... and counting) in order to tell you AGAIN to stop contacting me with threats of disconnection for false positive "malware" if I get my password incorrect when logging into my works VPN.

History:

When you first "introduced" the monitoring service, I was suckered into buying Web Safe. Throughout the entire subscription - no letters... ever!

Cancelled the service in order to switch to a better service and ever since I have been plagued with a letter every time I enter my password incorrectly. The first was about 3 days after the service was uninstalled!

Reported as best as I could due to the inability to actually contact the 'monitoring' service (repeatedly) - unless you want a "specialist" engineer to come out at £100 ish to run malware across all devices...

The service is a scam and does not act on false positive reports.

Official complaints raised go round in circles of "we don't monitor"; "can I speak to who does?"; "no - they don't have a call service outside of chargeable technical support"; "please inform them of VPNs causing false positives"..... letter arrives with the next misclick!

Is the only way to get you to act to cancel and look elsewhere?

...further update - finally - 1hr55 on hold got through to someone on the phone... didn't understand that the malware letter was from YOU and then hung up on me...

Disgusted with this (lack of) service.

Re: Malware "threat" emails from you on false positive

one would assume that if you enter your password correctly then you won't have a problem?
also, "web safe" isn't a product that you buy, it's a service that can be enabled or disabled on your accont via your account webpage and is free.

Re: Malware "threat" emails from you on false positive

Sorry  F-secure was the product.

Any yes - if I type my work's von password (which has to be changed every month-ish) correctly then there is no issue, but mistakes happen like caps lock or using yesterday's passwordon 'passwordchange day'... which does not negate the fact that I am being threatened with service denial over false positives without recourse or reply.

Still waiting for the promised phonecall back or any response / action from numerous complaints...

Re: Malware "threat" emails from you on false positive

F-Secure isn't a virgin product or service.
it's a third party tool, which IMO, is junk and not worth a single penny.

can you clarify who is contacting you for entering an incorrect password on your work VPN?
entering a wrong password shouldn't trigger a malware warning from anyone, not unless your work VPN is doing something very strange when a wrong password is entered.

the other explanation is that it's not your work VPN wrong password issue that is the cause of the malware warning you are receiving.
