Internet intermittent and not getting my 200mbps

I upgraded my package as working from home but not receiving my 200mbps and internet Is intermittent every day.  Keeps disconnecting me whilst working every 2 minutes.  Engineer came and replaced outside connections but still the same problem.  Fed up of trying to ring Virgin on hold all the time as no one answers.

Are you testing over wifi or an ethernet cable? If wifi - do it on ethernet and see what that gets.

I do not work for VM. My services: HD TV on VIP (+ Sky Sports & Movies & BT sport), x3 V6 boxes (1 wired 2 WiFi,) SH2 in modem mode with Airport Extreme Router +2 Airport Express's. On VIVID200, Talk Anytime Phone, x2 Mobile SIM only iPhones.

Yes Ethernet and only getting about89mbps

89 Mbps is always a suspicious number as it implies you are being limited to 10/100 speeds.

Usual culprits are using a Cat5 cable instead of a Cat5e (or better) - or a better one that has "failed" - they do and I have had several do that - so first job - try a new good cable.

Or... the NIC card in your device is an old 10/100 one or is set to limit speeds by having old drivers - what does it report about its connection speed in the network settings?
