I have regular tv points on either side of sitting room. Currently Virgin Media comes in from the road (near one point) and is cabled across the room around a door where tv is (near other tv point). Is there any way I can use these points to connect cables internally rather than looking at a cable tacked all around my sitting room. I really want to hide cables.

Only if the coax wiring is entirely replaced with the standard that Virgin uses. Virgin re-uses frequencies that also carry Freeview TV, Digital DAB radio broadcasts & Mobile Phone signals. All of these must be kept out of their network cabling or they cause interference with Virgin’s services, hence specialised cable has to be used. Any existing Freeview cabling between these points could not be used & would have to be replaced.

Some of the plastic trunking ranges from D-Line can be installed to blend in with skirting board/door frame mouldings or against solid flooring so that cables and clips are not on show. Done well, it can be relatively unobtrusive.
