I don’t understand why my WAN name should be doing a DNS request for Facebook.com and get recorded in the Pi-Hole log.

Anybody have any ideas?

Just found this similar question on Reddit, but no answer unfortunately.

Why is my Pi-hole showing requests from my WAN address? : pihole (reddit.com)

I found this a moment ago:

It may (or may not) explain things or be an aid to further investigation.

@MrHalfAsleep thanks. My UDM Pro does do a keep-alive ping, but you can select the IP address, I use 1.1.1.1.  Both my Pi-Holes are specified in the router and this seems to work ok.
