I have a "Virgin Media Cat 6 UTP" Ethernet Cable stuck in my laptop....HELP!

Image 5 the furthest it goes

Hi so I stuck my Virgin Media Cat 6 Ethernet Cable into my virgin media hub brand new just got it yesterday and connected it to my laptop as well to make an upload faster becuase I thought it would help. However, after I was done I pressed the plastic stick down in my hub and it removed it / released it....works perfectly fine right? Well then I tried to do the same to my laptop but it wont do anything at all. I tried pressing really hard pulling hard while pressing...someone said press with a flat screwdriver so I did but nothing will work. What do I do now?

push the tab down with a knife or flat object between the yellow cable boot. Or pull the boot back down the cable to get better access to the clip

A pair of long-nosed pliers is the best thing to use, you can hold the tab down and pull out the plug at the same time. If it really seems totally jammed then you can cutting away the coloured shroud from around the clear plug and then try removing.
