How the hell do I cancel virgin broadband

I have had issues with hub dropouts for over a month. Customer support basically say put up and shut up. They say I need to still pay my monthly bill. They will not redirect me to cancellations. They give me a phone number instead. I have literally spent hours I. Queues. Never getting through. I have even taken to posting my customer support conversations on social media. It makes interesting reading and many negative comments directed at VM.

Can anyone guide me into an easier way to cancel my service.

Re: How the hell do I cancel virgin broadband

only two ways to cancel

1) call CS and choose "i'm thinking of leaving"
2) write to them at the advertised address as per the Ts&Cs of you contract.

Re: How the hell do I cancel virgin broadband

Hi markvarley,

You could post your stats on the Networking-and-WiFi  Forums and let the community members weave their magic in finding and resolving your hub problems.

You should post your router stats there for the learned members to check what the problem is and offer assistance.

In your browser’s URL box type in http://192.168.0.1 (or http://192.168.100.1 - if in modem mode) and hit return.

Don't login, instead below there click on Check Router Status

From the Router Status” page copy/paste 3 FULL sets of data onto here – from the Downstream, Upstream, & Network Logs pages.

However, should you still wish to cancel rather than using the assistance above then ...

You could try the text messaging service.

Just send  a text with a description of cancellation  to 07533 051809. Your message will go into a queue and a representative will respond to you as soon as possible. It may take a few days.

You can also call  150 from your Virgin landline, or 0345 454 1111, but best to call at 8am to avoid call queues

or write to them to as per the terms and conditions. If writing send it by registered post.

Virgin Media Sales Operation Support, Diamond Plaza, Daleside Road, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, NG2 3GG;

If you are still in contract there may be some early cancellation fees
