Ethernet cables

Hello,

it doesn’t bode well that I can’t even find a phone number to try to ask this question - I assume customer service is poor...

Anyway, my phone socket is in my hallway and the TV is well away in the sitting room - if I need to connect my Ethernet cable is that feasible without trailing a cable from one room to the next (which would involve drilling through a wall)?

Re: Ethernet cables

Hi Kenny71

Thanks for posting and welcome to the community. I am sorry you feel the customer service is poor. The contact numbers are clearly displayed on our website as our contact methods such as web form and text service.

To answer the question, as long as the wiring is the same in both rooms we're speaking about, you can use a power line adapter to do this.

You can find out more about what one is here

Kind regards,

Re: Ethernet cables

OK, John,

thanks for that reply, I can use a powerline adaptor.

However, as to your claim that telephone numbers are clearly displayed - they are not.

I simply cannot see them, despite clicking through link after link.

Thanks,

Kenny

Re: Ethernet cables

My hub/modem will be beside my phone line, hence my query.

However, I've been advised that I can use a powerline adaptor so that should sort the matter out.

Thanks for taking the time to reply to me.

All the best, Kenny.

Re: Ethernet cables

The numbers to ring are 150 free from a VM mobile or landline, or 0345 454 1111 from any other phone (chargeable as standard UK landline phone no.).
