DNS not updating

We have just set up a website (2 hours ago) and propagation of DNS seems to have gone fine....apart from Virgin nameservers.

Anyone know how often a refresh should occur?

I've has to use a VPN to bypass the Virgin nameservers, to access the website. (Tho thinking about it, I could probably have explicitly set the DNS explicitly in the network adapter to pick up Google’s...?)

Re: DNS not updating

Hello

Propagation of DNS can take anywhere between 24 - 48 hrs.

Re: DNS not updating

Every ISP caches their own copy of the the registrars' master DNS records and reads from the cache instead of making a direct request to the domain registrar every time a request for your site is made. However, it can take up to three days before another cache is done.
