The outdoor grey/white box is broken and the cabling is exposed. Could an engineer come out and repair/replace it please?

Sorry to hear about this cabling exposed. Just to clarify - is this on the outside of your home or is it one of the large cabinets on the street?
If on the street please can you advise of the location by confirming the postcode and the closest door number for that cabinet. If the doors are open there may also be a reference number there too.

If you log into My Virgin Media at the top of the page and navigate as on the screenshot you should be able to track the appointment

Engineer came today and resolved the problem! Great service!
