Broadband

How long am I expected to wait on  online chat for help?

I have been waiting OVER 100 hours and now have to wait again as I have been transferred to tech services .

I did last week whilst waiting for reply to on line chat - took over 40 minutes to get through. Was told that they were looking into it and supervisor would phone me back within 1 hour ... guess what still waiting for call back from supervisor (over 100 hours now).

Very disappointing

40 minute wait isn't actually that bad.
you never call backs though, that's just a ploy most call centres use to get you off the phone.

what specific issue do you have that requires reporting to them?

Daily loss of wifi since august. changed hub- no improvement. makes wfh tough.

loss of "wifi" or loss of internet?
ie does it still work fine using an ethernet connection?

Nothing hard wired so don't know. That's why I need Virgin Media tech services to look into this to find out where the problem is.

Do they read these threads? Hope so.

if it's a local wifi issue then it's not something for virgin tech to check for.
you need to test via ethernet first.

yes they do, but the tech chatter sub-forum is not the place for reporting issues. and even then it can take up to a week for a response in the correct area as the forum is not a primary method of getting support.
