Broadband costs

Hi, I find virgin media over priced as I only use broadband I have been told its a cheaper option to go for a package I did this at £45 because I don't pay by direct debit there is another £5 now for the package I don't need I pay an additional £20 due to price rises this is all just for broadband the rest I don't requite as I don't use.

Is there a better network out there where I can pay for a decent Internet connection at a lower price and not have to have phone line and TV packages?

Re: Broadband costs

There are plenty of competitors to choose from, especially if you are in an area where Openreach have installed full fibre to home. Otherwise they will struggle to match VMs speeds.

VM works on giving new customers discounts that make them a loss for the inital period. After that you pay the full price. Some of VMs competitors will offer existing customers their new customer deals, but obviously cannot do this at a loss to themselves, so prices are rising across the board as a result.

Unless you are in a full fibre Openreach area you are also stuck with having to take a phone line as well as the Broadband due to the technology in use.

VM BB TV Landline. Vonage 2nd line. Freeview/Freesat HD, ASDA/Tesco PAYG Mobile. Customer since 1993
