5G

Is the Virgin Hub/router using 5G and has it been tested for safety to humans, animals and other life?

Re: 5G

what risk to humans, animals and "other life" do think would need to be tested in a consumer range router?

Re: 5G

Depends what you mean by 5G.

If you mean the 5Ghz WiFi band, yes it does.

If you mean the 5G mobile networks, no it doesn't and will never do so as it has an entirely different function.

Don't listen to scare stories about wireless signals. There are far worse environmental dangers to worry about.

Re: 5G

I was wondering about the mobile phone networks (5G), which has many issues related to it and which does affect the immediate environment. I know that the Virgin hub/router uses 2.4 or 5 Ghz and wasn't sure if there was a link there.

Re: 5G

5G has had no safety research done on it despite being a much stronger signal than 4G. There are things of this nature - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=536qN22jxak&feature=youtu.be&fbclid=IwAR0EjOpVUu7XWLTIPZ3QqZ0QrWCh0x... which helps explain the thinking behind my question.

Re: 5G

The same concerns were expressed about the original mobile phones and then about 4G. But there have been no proven cases of anyone being harmed by them. This is just the same.

Be careful about scare stories on the web.  The same sort of stories are leading to children being harmed by measles because people have believed unjustified claims about vaccination..

Except it isn't a much stronger signal, extensive research has been done on RF exposure via 5G and random cranks on YouTube aren't reliable sources.

https://www.itu.int/en/ITU-T/Workshops-and-Seminars/20171205/Documents/S3_Kamil_Bechta.pdf is just one example of such research.
