Why is the food network blocked on my tablet?

Why is the food network blocked due to copyright issues on my tablet, when all the other channels I've subscribed to works OK on it?

Surely this is a fault with Virgin media Go settings, that can be rectified by their experienced media technical staff. 

It's so frustrating!

Hi @Maggie64 

The Food Network works on both my mobile and tablet using TV Go.

Is there any particuloar program on that channel you are trying to watch?

It's possible it may just be certain programs which are restricted subject to licensing agreements, or rights, and the same would probably apply on Sky

Hi Dave, thanks for the reply. The programs I'm not able to watch are The Hairy Bikers and James Martin. I was able to watch them before, but haven't over the last month or so.

Hi Maggie,

I'll try  both James Martin when it's broadcast tonight at 10:00 tonight, and Hairy Bikers at midnight on my TVGO to see if i can watch them and get back to you.

By the way, there are lot's of Hairy Bikers episodes from different series available on BBC  iPlayer,. although not the currently shown Christmas ones from the Food network.

The Hairy Bikers was blocked due to copyright restrictions which ties in with my first reply.

Hi @Maggie64,

Welcome back to our Community Forums! Thank you for your post and I'm very sorry to hear that you're having some issues viewing some programmes via our TVGo App!

As @newapollo advised, this is most likely a licencing and copyright restriction issue which stops certain programmes to be shown on the TVGO App. Are you able to view these shows okay on your set top box?

Hi Paulina_Z,

Yes I'm able to watch all of the food network programs on my set top box OK. The problem is only on my tablet, using the Virgin Go app. I can watch all programs except the food network channel.

Sorry to see you cannot watch the food network channel via the TV Go App on this device.
Is it the live programme or the recordings you cannot get on and what's the error displayed, if any?

Could you please tell us if this is an iPad or android tablet you're using, and have you checked if you have the latest TV Go App version as well (please, uninstall and reinstall our App if not sure)?
Also, would it be possible to test the App on a different device (see how to register a new device here if not added) and see if the issue persists on there too?

Please, let us know of the above and we're eager to best assist with this.
