Why do I have to add the same device again?

Decided to use TV go today and I had to use another device slot for a device that was already there (iPad Pro).  And I can’t remove the old one.

Re: Why do I have to add the same device again?

Hi arrgee1991,

Thanks for your post and I'm sorry to see you've been experiencing issues with the devices on the TV Go portal.

Have you since been able to make the changes to your account since your post?

If not, can you attempt using a different browser, and clearing the cache on the browsers you've been using?

Kindest regards,

David_Bn

@David_Bn - It is the iPad TV GO app I am having the issue with.  As far as I know it doesn't have a cache or cookies I can clear.  I now have the same iPad taking up 2 device slots.

Can you try opening this in a browser to see if you can perform this action?

Thank you

@David_Bn - sorry I don't understand what I have to do.  I don't use the browser for TV Go on the iPad, I use the TV Go app.  If I try to open TV GO via the browser (Chrome) it sends me straight to the app.

Re: Why do I have to add the same device again?

Do you have a different device you can access the TV Go account on?

Alternatively, can you uninstall the application and then log into the TV Go via the browser to see if you can make the appropriate changes to the device management?

In regards to your other post, it's my understanding that the number of devices wont change if you change the TV package - will just be a case of having either more or less content available to you - depending on the action you take on the TV package

Kindest regards,

I do, but I don't see how that would help with the iPad showing twice.

I could, but I suspect it would use a device change and as it is the 14th of the month, I am reluctant to waste my changes, I have had bad experiences in the past with the Edge browser. I will try on 31st July.

OK, that's good.  I know that when I had player TV previously I only had 2 device slots.  Also how many simultaneous streams can I have on different devices?  Is it still 2?

You'll be able to watch content on two devices at a time using TV Go
