Virgin TV suddenly stopped working on MS Edge browser.

Hi all, after months of happy viewing on Tv Go with the app side swipe on Microsoft Edge, suddenly today I'm told that browser is no longer supported.

Since then I've tried Chrome and get the same result. Any ideas please?

Hi @Roomster,

Welcome to our Community Forums and thanks for your post.

I'm sorry to hear you're having some issues accessing TV GO via the web browser.

Have you tried clearing cookies/cache to see if this helps?

Are you able to access TV GO via the app?

Let us know so we can offer further support where needed.

Thank you

Hi Ayisha_B, yes, I'm able to view on my Android tablet, it's just my Surface Pro running Windows 11 that has suddenly failed.

I had downloaded the web site to Edge and then I think I hit a button at the top that put TvGo on the task bar as a stand alone. It's worked seamlessly for many months, till last Friday night when it suddenly said "Browser not supported".

Any help would be appreciated.

Regards

Dave

Thanks for coming back to me @Roomster

I am sorry you're getting the error 'your browser is not supported and to try another browser.'

Could you clarify if you have been able to try a different browser to see if the same issue persists? Do you have Google Chrome, you can check on?

Hi Ayisha_B, I'm at my limit till midnight tonight on devices. It's sat on Chrome ready and waiting to test.

It's mainly that on Edge I never had a problem with it signing me in as a different device as I previously did with Opera and Chrome.

Hi Roomster, thanks for coming back to the thread. Have you been able to test it on Chrome?

Best wishes,

Hi John -GS, sorry, the thread is actually appearing on two posts.
Yes, it is working on Chrome and also in Opera, but still not working on MS Edge as it says it's not supported.

Dave.

Hi Dave

I've just tested on my Windows 11 Home version 22H2 (o.s build 22621.755) using Microsoft Edge version 107.0.1418.26 (64-bit)

The screen came up asking me to install the TVGO web app - I declined as I already have it installed.

I was able to continue and play content from the channels
