Virgin TV control app slow

Why is the Virgin TV control app so slow on iPad and Android phone since update? Seriously inefficient and annoying to use.

Hi Pearl60,

 

Can you give us more information about what you mean by slow? Is it slow loading, or the commands being slow being sent? Can you uninstall and reinstall the App to see whether it improves?

There have numerous complaints about this already. The app opens eventually after several minutesand happened after the update. Uninstalling the app makes no difference. This did not happen before so requesting shows or see planned recordings or set up  a recording takes time again. Just incredibly annoying and clearly does not work well on Android phone or iPad. Your developers need to work on this fault

This used to an issue with the android version, but since the major update of the app some months ago it has been working well.

Version 4.5.0-1322781

No one has helped in this. A total nightmare to use the Virgin Control app for months on end. Will someone please sort this out!!! Reconnecting constantly so not fit for purpose.

When using wifi on Virgin Media extremely slow where I have TV package but fine  on Vodafone wifi!

Samsung S6 Android Version 7 Virgin Control app version 4.5.0-1322781

iPad 4 iOS 10.3.3 app version v4.5(4.5.1)

Thanks for confirming the information Margaret, I can see that you're using the most up to date version and we have no known errors, I will need to log this with our IT team and to do this would need to take some more information and pass account security.

 

I will drop over a private message in a moment, please respond and we  can get this looked into further.
