Virgin TV Go sign in

Yesterday morning I signed into Virgin TV Go with no problem. In the afternoon when i tried the same thing on the same laptop I got an error message saying I must use my use my main account. I know that I am, but just in case I tried with my other emails and got the same message each time. I know I'm using the right password because I can sign into virginmedia OK, but just not the TV Go bit. Help gratefully received - thanks.Doc1_001 (2).jpg

Hi ivansneck,

 

Thank you for posting on the forums - sorry to see that you are having some difficulties when signing in to the TV GO app.

 

Can you confirm if you are able to sign into your My Virgin Media account without problems? Also, can you please try changing your password to see if that does the trick?

I can sign into my virginmedia account without problems.
I can also sign into Sky Sports using the virginmedia portal no problem, just not Virgin TV Go

Are you able to sign into TV GO via the app rather than the web version?

 

If not, I'll get an IT ticket raised for this issue for you.

I am having the exact same error when trying to use TV Go app,  have tried on 3 different devices and have also changed password.

I have spoken to tech support twice now and they are still unable to get this resolved.

This was working fine on Friday.

Nothing has changed since Friday.

Please can you escalate this as its now been 2 days with no fix.

Sorry to hear that you are also having some trouble with the TV GO app. 

 

Did the faults team advise if they would forward the issue to our support IT team? This should have been done if they weren't able to fix the issue on the call.

 

If so, do you have the IT reference? If not, I'll get one raised for you too ASAP

Okay ivansneck, so I can get a ticket raised, I will need to know the following information please:

 

  • Device make and model 
  • Device operating system
  • Exact error message received
  • APP version (if applicable)

@Crabtree7 - if you could also provide me with this information too so I can raise an IT ticket for you too.

App is running on an Apple Mac.

also Ipad

I have tried using Web from both Chrome & Safari
