Re: Tv on the go

Hello

What version of iOS is running in the  iPad ?

As currently these are the requirements for TvGo - Requires iOS 11.0 or later. Compatible with iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.

Re: Tv on the go

Hello

  1. Start the Settings app.
  2. Tap "General."
  3. Tap "Software Update."
  4. Tap "Automatic Updates."
  5. Make sure automatic updates are turned on by swiping the button to the right so it's green.
  6. Start the Settings app.
  7. Tap "General," and then tap "Software Update."

It may be that the iPad is running on the latest it can Apple did some changes in the iPad software that will only update to a later version if it is compatible.

Virginmedia do update the Apps on a regular basis to fall in line with Apples requirements, Apples newer software now only runs on 64bit capable hardware, have a look at https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT209574 to see if your iPad is compatible.

Re: Tv on the go

Thanks for the info, it says software is up to date, the iPhone doctor says my iPad will not update, annoying when I pay for services I cannot get anymore without buying a newer iPad

Re: Tv on the go

Unfortunately once a mobile device falls out of support then this is likely to happen as apps are updated and the tools used to make them target newer supported versions of the OS.

You could see if you can run the web browser version of TV Go via Safari here https://virgintvgo.virginmedia.com/en.html
