Tv control app

TV control app not working. I have tried deleting app and reinstalling.

Tv control app

TV control app doesn’t work. It says it can’t connect to the box. Three times today I have contacted Virgin Customer chat and three times they have abandoned chat without resolving issue. Shockingly bad customer service

Hi. When I try to record a programme I get a message saying “the app is having trouble communicating with your virgin tv box”. It shouldn’t have a problem as I checked all the settings when I set it up last month

How is your V6 connected to your Hub?

Initially, I would try a restart of your V6.

It’s connected via Ethernet. I’m not at home at moment so unable to restart V6 :-(.
Can virgin media do this remotely?

Virgin C/S agents can restart your box remotely if you call them and it's part of their diagnostics, yes.

Is your V6 set to Eco power-saving? If so, that doesn't allow remote app access and you'll need to use Connected low-power option instead. You can check this under Home > Help & Settings > Settings > Devices > Power saving.

I have had the same issue. The "support" agent was so rude that I have put in a written complaint about his behaviour.

I too lost connection to my V6 boxes for over a week. I too am away from home.

After posting about it here a remote reboot was tried a couple of days ago with no success.

I just tried the app this afternoon and, guess what, the connection to my V6 boxes has reappeared.

Go figure.
